In Brickell, finding healthcare is easy. Finding the right kind of menopause care is harder. Search results blur together: OB-GYN offices, concierge practices, wellness programs, med spas, pellet clinics, and national telehealth companies—all offering something different.
What you need first is not another list. It is a clearer answer to a more personal question: who can help with what I am feeling, and what happens next?
Flourish provides virtual menopause care for Florida patients; it does not operate a physical Brickell clinic. You can begin a focused consultation from home or between meetings, then use local care when you need a mammogram, DEXA scan, ultrasound, examination, or procedure.
Start with the person, not the practice
A menopause-trained clinician may work in gynecology, internal medicine, family medicine, nursing, or another field. The title matters less than the care behind it: meaningful menopause training, time to listen, and a plan you can understand.
The free AAWHM Directory can help you search for doctors trained to practice current gold standards of hormone and menopause care. Select Florida and search Brickell, Miami, a nearby neighborhood, a condition, or a clinician’s name. The free AAWHM Directory app also includes menopause information and patient guides.
Before you book, ask:
- Does this clinician regularly treat perimenopause and menopause?
- What focused menopause or hormone-prescribing education have they completed?
- Do they discuss FDA-approved hormonal and non-hormonal options?
- Do they provide in-person care, telehealth, or both?
- How long is the initial visit?
- How are follow-up, refills, urgent symptoms, and referrals handled?
- Does the practice accept insurance, offer out-of-network documentation, or use self-pay pricing?
Proximity is useful, but it is not the same as fit. Verify a clinician’s Florida license through the Florida Department of Health. A directory listing or credential is a starting point, not a guarantee of availability, insurance participation, prescribing scope, or the relationship you want.
Compare in-person and telehealth care serving Brickell
The best format depends on what you need next. An in-person clinic can examine you and coordinate procedures directly. Telehealth can make the first conversation, treatment review, and follow-up easier to fit into daily life. Many women use both.
In-person clinics in greater Miami
The UHealth Menopause Clinical Program describes a multidisciplinary model that can include gynecology, pelvic-floor physical therapy, psychology, endocrinology, laboratory testing, mammography, and ultrasound according to clinical need. It is a Miami-area program rather than a Brickell clinic, so confirm the current location, availability, referral process, and insurance participation before booking.
The free AAWHM Directory is another way to find individual menopause-trained clinicians who may offer in-person care in Miami. Search beyond Brickell when necessary: a clinician in Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Miami Beach, Doral, or another nearby area may have stronger menopause training or a better care model.
In-person care is usually the better starting point when you already know you need a breast or pelvic examination, evaluation of abnormal bleeding, a procedure, or close coordination with an existing gynecologist or primary care clinician.
Telehealth care available in Brickell
Flourish offers focused, app-based care.
Flourish offers app-based menopause consultations for Florida patients. Our doctors are Miami natives, so they understand the city and can care for you in your language. You submit symptoms, health history, goals, medications, and safety information when it works for you. A licensed clinician reviews the consultation and finalizes a written care plan within 2 business days. If medication is appropriate, the prescription is sent to your preferred pharmacy.
This may fit if you want to begin privately, without waiting for an appointment or crossing Miami for an initial conversation. Flourish can review perimenopause and menopause symptoms, discuss HRT and decide whether it is appropriate for you, and provide prescriptions. It does not provide emergency care, examinations, procedures, testosterone therapy, or medication shipping.
The Collaborative offers virtual concierge care.
Some care needs more time, more coordination, or a wider clinical lens. When your needs extend beyond Flourish’s focused scope, Flourish recommends The Collaborative, its partner Menopause Center of Excellence. The Collaborative operates nationally and works with women seeking menopause care as well as patients with complex, longitudinal, or multidisciplinary needs.
Its patient-facing care model covers individualized hormone therapy, thyroid and metabolic health, sexual and genitourinary symptoms, bone health, cancer-sensitive care, and complex multisystem presentations. Its national team includes menopause-focused experts and clinicians trained under Dr. Heather Hirsch.
The Collaborative uses an annual membership model so clinicians can reserve extended appointments and dedicated time for midlife women. It serves patients virtually in almost every state and does not contract with insurance companies. Its FAQ says it provides a superbill that patients may submit for possible reimbursement; medication and laboratory coverage are separate.
As you compare the formats, choose in-person care when the examination itself matters, choose telehealth when access and a focused review are the priority, and combine them when your plan needs both treatment guidance and local testing.
What can happen in Brickell
Baptist Health Diagnostic Imaging in Brickell lists 3D mammography, DEXA bone-density scans, ultrasound, MRI, CT, and X-ray at its Brickell Avenue location. The center says diagnostic services require a physician’s prescription and recommends having the prescription and insurance information ready before scheduling.
Before you schedule, ask:
- Is my order for screening or diagnostic imaging?
- Do I need prior authorization?
- Are the facility and interpreting radiologist both in network?
- What is the self-pay estimate?
- Do you need previous breast or bone-density images?
- Who receives the report, and who will explain it to me?
- Is on-site parking available, and how much time should I allow?
Routine screening is not the same as evaluating a new symptom. A breast lump, skin or nipple change, concerning discharge, or abnormal result needs appropriate clinical follow-up. Unexplained or heavy bleeding may require a gynecologic examination and imaging, not a routine virtual consultation alone.
What can happen from home—and what still needs a local visit
From home, you can review symptoms, understand treatment options, make medication decisions, receive a written plan, and manage prescriptions. Local care is still important for:
- Breast or pelvic examinations.
- Mammography, DEXA, ultrasound, biopsy, and procedures.
- Heavy, unexplained, or concerning bleeding.
- Pelvic pain, prolapse, urinary leakage, or pelvic-floor dysfunction.
- A new breast symptom or abnormal imaging result.
- Thyroid, metabolic, bone, cancer-sensitive, or multisystem concerns requiring broader coordination.
- Emergencies, including chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe shortness of breath, or suicidal thoughts.
Good care does not have to happen in one place. Your plan may combine a virtual menopause consultation with a primary care clinician, gynecologist, imaging center, and other local specialists.
Understand the whole cost
The price of the first visit rarely tells the whole story. Ask what you may pay for the consultation, membership, follow-up, laboratory tests, imaging, medication, facility fees, and prescription changes.
Flourish uses pay-per-consult pricing and does not bill insurance for consultations. The Collaborative uses an annual membership and does not contract with insurance. A local practice may be in network, out of network, or self-pay. Insurance coverage for medication is separate from coverage for the consultation.

A simpler way to put your care together
- Write down your symptoms, cycle changes, medications, goals, and important medical history.
- Decide whether you want a focused virtual review, an ongoing local clinician, or a higher-touch specialty model.
- Search AAWHM and verify the individual clinician’s scope and license.
- Ask what is included, how long the visit lasts, and what follow-up costs.
- Confirm where examinations and imaging will happen if needed.
- Keep copies of care plans, prescriptions, imaging, and laboratory results so each clinician has the same information.
You do not need to solve every part of menopause care at once. Start with the question that is most present for you, then build the rest of the plan around it.
